Population of China

China, also known as The People's Republic of China (PRC) is a country in East Asia. It is the most populous state in the world with over 1.3 billion people. At about 9.6 million square kilometres (3.7 million square miles), China is the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area and the second largest by land area. But the main point of what I wanna talk about is the population of China. As of 2009, there are 1,338,612,968 people in the PRC. About 21% (male 145,461,833; female 128,445,739) are 14 years old or younger, 71% (male 482,439,115; female 455,960,489) are between 15 and 64 years old, and 8% (male 48,562,635; female 53,103,902) are over 65 years old. The population growth rate for 2006 was 0.6%.Although China has a one child policy thing going on, the growth rate is a little bit slower but still increasing! Amazing, isn't it?! Well, that's China for you all, the place to make babies. Furthermore, the world's population is approximately 6.7 billion, China represents 20% of it, that also means in every five people on planet Earth is a resident of China! Ha Ha! Truly Amazing! But it is said that by the late 2010's, China's expected to be 1.4 billion, that's good news, the bad news is around the 2030s, experts say that it will start dropping slowly. And after that, the now second most populated country, India, will take over the crown, wonder how did that happen?
