BookFest @ Malaysia 2011

Hello, blogwalkers/visitors/friends, good...MORNING, today's a bright morning Saturday, most of my schoolmates should be at school joining Jogathon right now, but me, I rather stay at home than participate in it, haha, well, I'm getting lazier and lazier day by day. Today, I decided to blog about the BookFest I went during my one-week holiday. It was held from 27 August - 4 September, everyday 10am-10pm, at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre(every year).
From the side here, you can see two catalogues there. I was so excited about this book fest, cause I went last year, and can't believe there's a book fest that cater for english books, so I bought these catalogues beforehand, haha, before the book fest even started, but you will receive it when you pay the entrance fee(RM2.50) for adults, those young kids, teenagers below 18 are F.O.C. oh yea, not forgetting senior citizens. This year, book fest had two levels, ground floor - all books, the Chinese & English Pavilion ; 3rd floor - Lifestyle Pavilion, all on stationery, music and multimedia. And if you spend RM50 & above at Lifestyle Pavilion, you're entitled to win a prize(or more than that) just by answering one very simple question, which I forgotten, haha, but unfortunately not everyone can win, IF YOU'RE LUCKY to get picked from a whole lot of people, you will be phoned, to collect your prize. Well, if you're lucky la, haha. There are many more events & activities, sorry I didn't keep count...
"One Book, One World"
That's this year's book fest theme, encouraging everybody to bring books to the world and for the world, not sure what does that mean, do they want us to buy the books and give it to those who can't afford?..or asking authors to write more and ask us to buy and give ourselves more knowledge? haha, taktau...
And as usual, when I go somewhere, I will what?, I will of course, take pics, haha, so above info are just the infos, take a look of the book fest for yourselves, and maybe next year, go visit? Your choice, XD.

 English Pavilion

Haha, my bro, wanted to just take the 'Welcome' sign,
suddenly he came to the pic and pose quick, not bad, brother.

 Petronas Twin Towers
Lifestyle Pavilion

RM1 pens from Pilot, and Buy 1 Free 1 for ball pens, cool, eh?

Love BiC, the best pen in the World, and the cheapest, I think, just love it!
 I bought 2 CDs, for RM50, hehe...

Hehe, Look at that(left side pls)...THE THRONE OF FIRE...
Geronimo Stilton!!! My fav, when I was kid, my bro loves it too,
now they have Thea Stilton books and Crupella de something, new edition.
At the end of the 1st day, waited for mom till I got bored,
imagine me, getting bored in a book fest,
haha mom la, so decided to spend time taking blah-blah pics

This is where you go to enter the
if-you-spend-Rm50 above-at-Lifestyle Pavilion-contest.
Chinese Pavilion, haha, sorry, only took 3 pics, wasn't there for long,
but it's as big as the English Pavilion.

Conclusion, erm, after I went to another book thing earlier this year, I was disappointed on the selection of books and the price, it was not as good as the other, but still, I'll go there again next year, haha, somehow no matter how bad or how good is the book fest/sale/store, I'll go again, who knows, maybe next time they'll have the books I like and greater discounts? Haha, again, no matter what, just think in an optimist way, thinking positive makes everything not that gloomy or angry-ish.

A short post about Today

Hi, guys. I wanna write something about today, so I'm gonna write my diary for a while. Today, Cheryl didn't come to school, cause she had some pain from skating the day before that. Well, she said she'll be coming back to school tomorrow, thank God she's okay. Thus, I spend the whole day with myself only, supposed to spend my time with my mate, but was forced to go to the library and also i willingly went there to donate some Reader's Digest old mags. There, I met with my friend, and we start chatting, chatting even until recess was over, but thankfully i was not the late-est to chem. lab, there were more even late-r people.

After that, we had bio and add.maths, both subjects I had my results back, both I felt sad, though add. maths results is more than bio, but a.maths made me sad and mad at the same time. During discussion time, I just feel like standing up, banging my table, punching my fist down the table, and throwing my paper down the floor, but instead, i stayed there, quiet and silent, didn't really spoke a word, i thought if i go crazy just because i had a lower mark, think about those that failed the exam, they'll be looking at me thinking i'm a psycho, in their head, they'll be saying to themselves, "at least, you got pass la", and so I decided to just sit there and keep thinking, haha, thinking mode, thought about Danny's "don't be sad", yeap, I shouldn't be sad just because of a low 70, i should be happy at least i have it, and of course i'll get back my beautiful baby A, i'll come back for ya, I'll promise i will double-check, triple-check my paper, I'll be back!

Thank you Danny, thanks for your support, and I'll promise i'll be there for you no matter what, you do the same for me so many times, thank you!

My Last Day of Freedom

Yesterday, was my last day of holiday, and how i wished i could repeat it again, Danny send me a message early that morning, told me, no matter what i do, i must enjoy today(Sunday), yea I did enjoyed, but I haven't finish enjoying yet, oh time, sometimes i wish you can grow younger...let's face it, time ain't gonna listen to me, might as well just tell ya how i enjoyed it, even though i want to do so much more things =D
Before i start, i wanna share a song, haha, suddenly wanna share something, it's a korean song, 'Lonely' by 2NE1 and one more, 'Running Around My Dreams' by Tyrone Wells, I'm listening to them right now, makes my mood feel lighter, happy happy. After I received Danny's message, i think he went to the book fest already, and while he's doing that, I was at home watching Fast 5, haha, such an irony, I actually told him that it would be boring, but after my ma, my bro told me it was good and my dad told me the old cast is back in action, I finally decided to watch it, and you know what, i totally super super enjoyed it! The reason why I thought it was gonna be boring, cause the last 2 series, Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious was bad, especially Tokyo Drift, man even the main original cast, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez...is not there at all, then the fourth one was more sad than bad, Letty (Dom's gf) dies, that's why I kinda thought how do they wanna create the storyline now..Well, Butterfinger you are so wrong, the storyline was...not bad, main target : Hernan Reyes, the big bad guy in Rio, at the end they caught him and i'm pretty sure he's dead. There was an interesting part I saw during the credits, Agent L. Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson, yea, he's starring too, his acting is still as great as ever) was given a file that contains Letty's photo, about she hijacking a military convoy. Can you believe it?! She's not dead yet! But she'll be very upset to see Dom with a new girl, the lady police, Elena Neves, sigh..., read the IMDB synopsis for more info, now I can't wait to watch F&F 6, haha.
The Team! See, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and the asian dude is there!
I didn't manage to finish watching in one-shot, cause my dad said we have to go out straightaway for food with my grandauntie Junie and auntie Marina, which looks younger than the way I call them, auntie, they look young. We met up at Sentul Curry Fish Head House, along with my grandparents, the curry fish head was okay okay, then we chit-chat a while. After that, we went to Midvalley/The Gardens, head to Dome, and chit-chat again, sigh, hearing them chit-chit-chat-chat, really cannot tahan liao, so follow my bro to MPH. We went to Midvalley to visit the PC fair, the last day of PC fair, tell you more about in another post, but instead they chit-chit-chat-chat until 6pm, great, now only left 3 hours, so after we said our goodbyes, hugs and kisses(yuck, everytime), went straight to the PC fair at Midvalley Convention Center. Yeap, we did spent 3 full hours there till 9pm, then went to Burger King to eat dinner/supper. Around 11 pm, we arrived home, haha, so late. After I did some chores, change into my pjs, begged my dad to let me use the tv, haha, and yes, I was able to 'use' it, had a little problem with the dvd player, but after like 10+ minutes, finally, it played, and I was able(again) to finish Fast 5, hah...spent my last few hours blogging, before freedom goes away. Hmm, actually I'm happy, i enjoyed the whole day, so though I didn't have enough time doing everything I want, the most important thing is I Enjoyed It. (◠‿◠)

Prizes & Outings

Talking about Prizes. Remember Agricultural Science Competition (if not, take a look at the last paragraph of 'Seriously, A.S Rocks!!!'), i hoped that we'll get at least 3rd, and can you believe it, WE DID IT! 4GB Team really snagged Third Place! Hehe...
Though the price ain't so cool, but the cool thing is we got 3rd!!! Whoo~!!!
...after a few weeks, our model is still there, nice, right? haha

As a reward for ourselves, we went out to watch a movie on saturday of the same week and watch Captain America: The First Avenger...

The movie was not a bad one, but if compared to other Marvel movies this year, like Thor or Green Lantern, I wasn't that hyped after watching the show, I think i gave too much high hopes for this movie, I just don't really like it, 3.8 out of 5 stars. Haha, before the movie, me and my bro(yea, he followed) waited for Cheryl, Danny and Johnny for a long time, somehow thought that they were lost, but come on, NO WAY, so I called Cheryl, checked out where is she, well, cheh..it was just a traffic jam, after few more minutes, they arrived, thank goodness. After the movie, we walked and stood for a while thinking where and what to eat, finally we decided to eat at Ichiban Ramen, and I used all the money i had and collected, haha, first time using money so crazy, but there has to be a time i have to learn to spend money, how weird, it felt great, i spent it on my friends, and i'm happy i did that. Yay, i'll definitely treat them again, when i make my own money, XD!

The next prize, Me and Cheryl's Public Speaking little/puny/small/kecil/小 trophy and some gifts, plus Cheryl's sports trophies, Congratz, Cheryl!
Our Public Speaking Trophies
 Haha, serious la, Cheryl!
The sportswomangirl for Category 16-17 years old.

 The photographers, aww...they're so hardworking...zoom in Wengyi(right),
oh yea...rajinnya...reading chinese magazine....haha
 Acting totally weird~

During this holidays, we went for another outing, except Cheryl didn't come, yeap, sad...she's busy, spending time with her family, well, that's nice. So, outing, we went on wednesday, went for karaoke at Green Box and watched a movie, Cowboys and Aliens, with my parents watching with us. Karaoke was great, haven't been there for a long time since last year, even Danny and Johnny's parents went for karaoke, so cool! Can't wait to go there or somewhere else to sing karaoke again, haha! Cowboys and Aliens,
though the storyline was easy to understand, the movie production itself was great, the action scenes was superb, and Daniel Craig's fighting scenes was quite real, i enjoyed it, 4.2 out of 5 stars. After the movie, went to toilet, and part our ways. Then, my grandparents came to Jusco, we hang around there for some time, and went for dinner near Leisure Mall, a fish head restaurant, which i think the fish head was not good, but the side dishes was nice. If anybody wanna go for fish head, i'll definitely recommend Balakong's fish head, tell ya more about it next time, balakong's the best! I enjoyed that day a lot, let's go again!

Gonna be 1am soon, and my freedom's over the next day, going back to school, okay then, i'll see you again later, bye~

Durian Season

Durian, durian is a fruit, though some people would think it's stinky, smelly, taste like sh*t ---> Danny, but there are some which love it as a fruit, the fragrant smell, the yummy yellow texture ---> Me (hehe) and Cheryl, the crazy crazy memang really love durian girl, even when she's having sore throat (cause by durian heaty), she never stops eating it, no matter how many times you tell her to STOP IT!!!...she continues eating, what to say, she's the biggest fan of durian, the king of fruits.
Sadly, durian season has ended, but i'm okay with it, a little bit sick of my parents and my grandparents going out just for durian, and if you don't know, there are mainly two types of durian, one is sweet, the other is bitter, through many years of observation, adults and senior citizens are more likely to love the bitter ones, whereas the young ones love the sweet, so you can see the problem, when they buy durian, they'll buy more bitter than sweet, how sad...but the worse part is when they can't finish, is as if my nightmare come alive, bitter durian in my mouth, forcing me to swallow it down, sick. Another reason why sometimes i'll be struggling to push Mr. Bitter down my oesophagus, is when the sellers cheat us, saying it's "tim"(甜)one, as a matter of fact, it's TOTALLY BITTER, *puke*.
For the last day of durian fiesta, we brought it back home, and enjoyed it for the last time, but mostly i was busying taking pics, hehe, take a look of the KING, XD!

...now anybody feel like eating durian? Then, come come to Malaysia, visit us around June to August, that's durian season. Though durian is available in Thailand too, but according to most people, Malaysia's is better, haha, but truly, i tried durian in Thailand, it's just no 'feel' eating it, so if you wanna try the taste 'real' durian, Malaysia's the right destination. ^-^ For all that lives in Malaysia and are durian lovers, don't be sad, it'll come again next year, patience is virtue.

Butterfinger out.
